  12. To run the working model demos from the CD or your internal hard disk, you will be required to copy the “Claris” folder onto your startup volume.

  14.                                              Claris CAD Demo Version

  16. The Claris CAD demonstration version is a full working version of Claris CAD
  17. except for the following restrictions:
  18.  
  19. •    Files will not save.
  20. •    Documents cannot be printed.

  22. GD&T Font Installation
  23.  
  24. In order to use the “ClarisCADFont” and the “GD&T” font, these fonts need to be 
  25. added to the system file. The font information for both reside in the “GD&T Font” 
  26. suitcase.  For system 6.0.x users, use Font/DA Mover to install the fonts in the 
  27. system file. For 7.0.x users, drag the font suitcase to the system folder and okay 
  28. the alert to store them in the system file.

  31.                                The ClarisWorks Demonstration Version

  33. This ClarisWorks demonstration version is a full working version of ClarisWorks 
  34. except for the following restrictions:

  36. •    Files will not save.
  37. •    Printed documents have a “ClarisWorks Demo” watermark in the foreground.

  39. This Demonstration version does not include the ClarisWorks spell checker, 
  40. thesaurus, online help, or the full set of XTND translators or communications 
  41. tools.

  43.                                            FileMaker Pro Demo Version

  45. The FileMaker Pro demonstration version is a full working version of FileMaker Pro
  46. except for the following restrictions:
  47.  
  48. •  You may save up to 25 records.
  49. •  Printed documents have a “FileMaker Pro Demo” watermark.
  50.  
  51. FileMaker Pro opens all data base files as Read/Write.  This means that FileMaker 
  52. Pro expects to write to the open file at any time.  Because of this is is not possible
  53. to open any FileMaker Pro files from the CD directly.  You will be required to copy 
  54. any sample files from the CD to your startup volume.

  59. Some features to explore:
  60. •    The tear-off color palette and the color editor
  61. •    The three types of gradient fills and the gradient editor
  62. •    The new text ruler, with line, character, and paragraph spacing
  63. •    Mixed curved and sharp points, and enhanced editing on polygons
  64. •    The all-new Bezigon tool with full bézier curves
  65. •    Fractional Zooming in 1% increments
  66. •    On-screen slide presentations

  68. The following features are not available in this demonstration version:
  69. •    File translators.  The list of import translators which come with MacDraw Pro is 
  70. shown, but the translators are not functional.  In addition, the export list is not 
  71. shown, which includes PICT, PICT2, EPSF and MacDraw II 1.1.
  72. •    Spelling checker.  The dictionaries are not included with this demo.
  73. •    Help.  On-line, context-sensitive help is also available with MacDraw Pro.
